Christian Wolf has led the WOLF Group since 1999 and represents the fourth generation of family leadership. Schwandorf has been the site of its head office and thus its home town since 1965. However, the Nuremberg Bratwursts are made at the company premises in Nuremberg – in strict accordance with the EU specifications. Around 150 employees produce about 200 million sausages every year.

Why is the Nuremberg Bratwurst so important to you? 

This little sausage specialty is part of the Franconian culture for me and there’s a good reason why it’s popular worldwide. Our original bratwursts have always been made in Nuremberg – the “Franconian capital.” These original Nuremberg Rostbratwursts are one of our most popular products – and our commitment to making them only according to the most traditional recipes and in line with strict EU specifications highlights the strength of our regional roots.

The Nuremberg Bratwurst stands for a sense of home and belonging. The Wolf Group is a fourth-generation family-run business. That’s a great fit, isn’t it?

My great-grandfather Alois Wolf founded the first company in Egerland in the vibrant Golden Twenties, laying the foundations for what would ultimately become the WOLF Group. But actually, not much has changed. We continue to be a family business with close ties to our home region, and a passion for meat and sausage specialties, crafted in the finest artisanal tradition.
