Stadt Nürnberg

The City of Nuremberg is a founding member of the Protection Association and has always been keen to promote the Nuremberg Bratwurst. In a decision passed down by Nuremberg City Council on March 18, 1998, the official recipe for producing Nuremberg Bratwursts – now a delicacy that is enjoyed around the world – was duly reaffirmed.

In 2014, Lord Mayor Dr. Ulrich Maly accepted the 11th Nuremberg Bratwurst Prize on behalf of all of the staff working at Nuremberg Town Hall. Awarded annually, this accolade honors institutions or individuals who have made a truly unique contribution to improving the fortunes of Nuremberg Rostbratwursts.
